GUESTS - GENERAL ATTENDANCE
Previously obligated engineers were always welcome to attend Camp XIII ceremonies as guests. Now, changes and updates to the ceremony allow for all obligated engineers to bring guests. Space permitting, Camp XIII invites candidates to bring up to two guests to attend the ceremony in person (each candidate may register for a maximum of two guests, not including a Guest Ring Presenter, should you want to invite a Guest Ring Presenter.)
A ticket is required for your guests to attend the ceremony.
Candidates are responsible for registering for ceremony and briefing session in advance of purchasing their guest tickets.
Due to limited capacity in the ceremony space, we are not able to change the time once the tickets have been purchased and tickets are non-refundable.
For those with family and friends that are not able to join in person, we will also be live streaming the ceremonies.
GUEST RING PRESENTERS
During the ceremony, the ring is placed on the finger of each candidate by an obligated engineer. Candidates have the option to have their ring placed by a Camp XIII Warden in attendance, or invite your own eligible Guest Ring Presenter to attend the ceremony to place the ring on their finger.
The Guest Ring Presenter must be an obligated engineer with at least 5 years of qualifying engineering experience. The intent of this requirement is to have engineers of some experience welcoming and encouraging you as a new engineer.
Please note: If your proposed Guest Ring Presenter has not been Obligated (i.e. has not received their Iron Ring at a prior Calling of an Engineer ceremony), they cannot present an Iron Ring, or otherwise participate in, the Ceremony. This requirement stands even if your proposed Presenter is a Professional Engineer, but has not been Obligated. It is mandatory that a Presenter must be an Obligated Engineer - no exceptions.
